ChifEd Magnet Board
Privacy policy
Magnet Board doesn't collect any information about you or your students. This page explains what that means in practice.
Last updated 5 November 2026
The short version
- No accounts. There's nothing to sign up for or sign in to.
- Nothing leaves your iPad. Magnet Board works offline and never sends anything over the internet.
- No tracking. No adverts, analytics or third-party code.
- No microphone, camera or photos. Magnet Board plays sounds on the Pulse Board; it never listens, watches or looks at your pictures.
What Magnet Board keeps on your iPad
Magnet Board keeps each board just as you left it, so it's ready next lesson: the magnets you put on it, what you drew with the pens, the tempo and time signatures on the Pulse Board, and the theme you chose in Settings. All of this stays on your iPad. We can't see it, and deleting the app deletes it.
If you back up your iPad, Apple's backup may include your boards, as it would for any app. Those backups are covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
What Magnet Board doesn't collect
Magnet Board doesn't collect names, email addresses, contacts, photos, recordings, location, device identifiers, usage statistics or crash reports. It asks for no permissions that would let it.
Children
Magnet Board is made for teachers to use in front of their class in music lessons. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
If you email us
If you write to support@chifed.com, we'll use your email address and what you tell us only to reply and to help with your question. We don't add you to any mailing list or share your email with anyone else, and we delete it once we no longer need it to help you.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to this policy
If Magnet Board ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches the app.
